Dear 偉平,

Would you care to send more photos for the Slide Show? You may use the tips below to reduce the size of pictures and save time. It's very simple.

1. DPI for scanning: 200-300 dpi may be good enough, it may take much longer time to scan if the DPI is too high. 

2. At least 3 pictures can be scanned at a time (to save time). Then one picture can be copied to PhotoShop at a time. 

3. The contrast and level of scanned pictures may be poor. It can be made better by clicking "Image" --> "Adjust" --> "Auto contrast" and "Auto level" in the Photoshop. PhotoImpact may have similar functions. 

4. Save files as JEPG and choose medium resolution, which is the key and the resolutions in the PowerPoint are virtually the same (I did a head-to-head comparison test of two pictures already).

5. The size of files is thus reduced. An example of size reduction: Original size of picture 3, the largest size of Jeff Shu's pictures, was 940 KB. The size was reduced to 154 KB.

6. The size of files could be further reduced. 

7. Open a PowerPoint and insert the picture to a new file.

8. Copy the picture to a new Photoshop file.

9. Save the file as JEPG and choose medium resolution, which is the key and the resolutions in the PowerPoint are virtually the same (I did a head-to-head comparison test of two pictures already).

10. The size of the file is thus reduced. An example of further reduction: First reduction size of picture 3 of Jeff Shu was 154 KB, now the size was 111 KB.
